Neville Goddard strikes me as a less popular Dr. Joe Dispeza of his time. Although he wasn’t a neuroscientist, he was an American philosopher and spiritual author. His most known teachings are on manifesting our desires using the Law of Assumption

What Is The Law of Assumption?

The Law of Assumption is a theory that states that whatever we assume to be true will manifest as our reality. To manifest our desires is to assume the feeling of our desire as if it’s happening now.

The believability is holding the vibration of that desire.

The Subconscious 

Our assumptions (beliefs) are stored in our subconscious mind. One way to imprint new assumptions is through imagination, visualization and repetition

Our subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between thoughts that are real or imagined. So when we repeatedly imagine a version of our life as if we’re experiencing our desire now, the subconscious internalizes that desire as truth. 

The idea is that once you assume the being state of your desire, it has no choice but to manifest. Try magnetizing with the Law of Assumption. 

1. Visualize you being your desire

According to Neville Goddard, the first step is to visualize your desire. Imagine a scene of you getting what you want or being who you want to be. This scene is how your life would look if your desire has ALREADY manifested. Jump right to the achievement of the desire. Not the steps leading up to it. 

Part of manifesting is trusting all the details are already taken care of. So we don’t have to visualize how our desire will come, just the end result you want to manifest.

Envision all the details of your surroundings; the people around you, what you’re doing, what you’re saying and what you’re feeling. Hear people congratulating you or saying how much they appreciate you, or love your work. Make it very real, including all the senses.

Hold the entire scene in your mind long enough to bring the scene to life, about seventeen seconds. 

2. Imprint the subconscious nightly 

The next step is to imagine this scene when you are in a meditative state. Neville recommends practicing visualization during a meditative state called “state akin to sleep (SATS).”

The subconscious mind is most impressionable before we fall asleep, so we can access this window right before bed. In a relaxed state, our conscious mind begins to slow down and our brain waves move into a theta state. It’s the doorway into the operating system of the subconscious mind, which makes it the optimal time to imprint new assumptions in your subconscious mind.

Use your imagination to transport yourself into the scene of your desire. Once the scene ends, mentally repeat it again and again. 

You’ll begin to FEEL all the elevated emotions of being there or achieving your desire. This bedtime practice will help the belief will be imprint deeper into your subconscious mind.

3.  Assume the feeling and repeat

According to Neville Goddard, once we successfully imprint our subconscious mind, with our new assumption it must manifest into our reality. The more we visualize during a hypnotic or meditative state, the faster we imprint that desire into our subconscious mind.

As soon as that desire becomes a belief,  it will manifest in your life.
